Where has the Steel + command gone?
Question
I have just updated to Tekla Structural Designer Service Pack 1 and notice that the Steel + command has disappeared from the ribbon. How can I get it back?
Answer
We have rationised the Show\Alter State group and placed common commands under a single command called the Show/Alter State command at the end of the ribbon group
Old Location
The Steel + command up to and including Tekla Structural Designer v17.0.0.37 was accessible directly from the Review ribbon tab > Show\Alter State group.
You could then define the Characteristic to work with, the Material type and the Parameter (section, grade or both)
New Location
The command is now accessible via the Review ribbon tab > Show/Alter State command under [A]ttribute = Steel Section and [M]ode = Review
You can then set the Characteristic and Material type as before.
For the eagle eyed, you will note that the Parameters option has not been carried over.
I notice the Parameter option has disappeared. What about copying the Grade or both the Section and Grade?

New location
The option to copy both Steel section and grade at the same time is no longer available.
A new [A]ttribute = Steel has been created to cover the Steel Grade.
You will therefore need to look at both [A]ttribute = Steel Section and [A]ttribute = Steel separately to copy both the section and grade.
The [M]ode option allows you to decide if you are Copying or Reveiwing
