Options

[M]ode

You now have three modes of operation, Toggle, On and Off.
  1. Toggle, switches the state between the available options i.e. On or Off when selecting an item  i.e. each time you select the item it will change to the next state. In the case of Autodesign this would toggle between On and Off.
  2. Set On, allows you to only define the state as being On. This allows box selections etc. to be applied more easily. Any item selected will be set to On
  3. Set Off, allows you to only define the state as being Off. This allows box selections etc. to be applied more easily. Any item selected will be set to Off

Filter Example

Setting Show = All, Entity type = Member and Characteristic = Beam allows the command to only work with Beam Members.

All non-selectable items (columns, beams, braces, trusses, slabs etc.) are greyed out and the Select Entity tooltip under the cursor does not "see" them.

Opacity N/A allows you to set how visible the non-selectable items are in the scene view.
  • 0 is the lowest visibility
  • 100 is the maximum visibility

Opacity Example

Setting at 0% shows the non-selectable items with a wire representation.

Setting at 100% shows the non-selectable items the same as the selectable items

Setting at 20% (default) shows the non-selectable items with a set level of opacity.

Try adjusting the value yourself to obtain a value you are comfortable working with.
