Frequently asked questions: Tekla account

Tekla account provides single-sign-on access control for Tekla online services. You can log in in one service and then browse to another Tekla online service without the need to log in again. The following services use Tekla account at the moment:

  • Tekla Campus
  • Tekla User Assistance (TUA)
  • Tekla Downloads
  • Tekla Discussion Forum
  • Tekla Warehouse
  • Tekla Model Sharing

How do I create ​a Tekla account?
To create an account, go to and click Create account. Enter your information. You will get a confirmation e-mail to the address you entered. Click the link in the e-mail to finish creating your account.

I have created an account but cannot log in, why?
Please read the corresponding TUA FAQ answer.


I received an e-mail asking me to join an organization. What is this?
This means that a group administrator has added you to a group, usually this is the company you work for. Click the link to join the group. If your organization has a maintenance contract with Tekla, you get access to all Tekla online content.

I deleted the e-mail asking me to join an organization. What do I do now?
Send a request to your Tekla administrator to get a new invitation.

Can I belong to more than one organization?
You can only belong to one organization at a time. This is the group whose name is displayed as Company on your profile.

Profile information

How do I change my profile information?
Click the gray wheel symbol  at the upper right corner on the service. Then click Profile info to view and edit your information.

Can I change my e-mail address?
You can change your e-mail address. However, Tekla recommends that you use your company e-mail address.

What does the Preferred language option do?
Preferred language option is used to set the language of Tekla Discussion Forum. The available Forum languages are English, French, German, and Chinese. If you do not set a language, or select one that is not supported, English is used.

Who administers the user accounts?
Your local administrator administers your organization's user accounts.

I am an administrator. How do I access the Tekla Account Admin Tool?
On your profile page, click the Access Admin tool button. Contact your local Tekla support if you need assistance.
